You are more than welcome to edit/add to the wiki, but PLEASE DO NOT DELETE any pages or sidebars without asking if they are needed, also please don't base the WIKI on your individual issues, if its a problem related edit, make sure it's a real issue that affects EmuELEC in general and not something that only happens on your setup.

While 1GB RAM devices will work, they are not fully supported and you will most likely have issues with some emulators.

Supported CPU's:

  • S905 (and almost all variants) NOTE: Starting with v4.4 s905 (original, no variant, no letter at the end) will no longer be compatible
  • S905x
  • S905x2
  • S905x3
  • S922/A311D
  • S912 (only up to v3.9)

Keep in mind we only support the current version available, so for example if you are running 3.9 and find an issue/bug you will need to update to the latest version before opening an issue on Github or asking for support on Discord, as we cannot fix issues with older releases!

Officially Supported devices:
Any device from Hardkernel, Khadas, Beelink, Libre Computer (and others) that use a supported CPU.

Officially Supported Hand-Held Devices:

  • Odroid Go Advance, Go Advance Super
  • Chi Gameforce

Unsupported Devices:

  • Super Console X (Any models)
  • RK2020
  • Powkiddy (Example: RGB10..)
  • Ambernic (Example: RG351p/m/v)
  • Any device that ships with either BIOS or ROM's pre-installed (or any other copyrighted work without permission)
  • Any copy of EmuELEC that comes as a pre-configured image

Need help?

Before asking for help you at least need to provide as much information as possible, Box model, dmesg log, etc, etc.

I made it even easier to provide logs starting with 2.5.3, all you need to do is select "08 - send logs.sh" from the "Scripts/Setup" menu in Emulationstation and it will give you an url with all the required logs.

You can also provide logs by either running "emueleclogs.sh" via SSH and use the resulting URL or alternatively you need to go to pastebin.com and post all of these files if they are available:

/emuelec/logs/emuelec.log
/emuelec/logs/retroarch.log
/emuelec/logs/es_*

Other paths/logs that might be present

/storage/.emulationstation/es_*  
/storage/retroarch.log  
/storage/sx05re.log  
/storage/emulationstation.log

After that, you can post the URL and explain your problem, without logs I will not be answering any help request, I get too many and it's hard to focus on all of them without the required information, if you can’t take time to do this, then I won't take time to help you, easy as that.
