How to use the tool.

Welcome, to the detailed tutorial of how to use the tool and its functions. When correctly used, the tool provides enchantments that one desires within a single enchant. Let's get started.

Before we get started, let's address things that must be avoided throughout the process. Doing any of them will mean you will need to restart the entire process.

  • Do not relog, change dimensions or die
  • Do not kill any mobs
  • Do not collect XP while a mending item is equipped
  • Do not use unbreaking tools, weapons or armour
  • Do not drop any items during the process (except when you're told to). If you want to empty your inventory, use a chest or other container
  • Do not sprint
  • Do not take damage
  • Do not fall
  • Do not eat or drink (in the game of course, irl is fine)
  • Do not use an anvil
  • Do not enchant anything (except when you're told to)
  • Do not have any potion effects active, including beacons
  • Do not use the /give command

The preparation step

  • Make sure to prepare everything beforehand, as it will reduce the chance you will accidentally do something in the list above.
  • You will need an enchanting table with some bookshelves around it. The more bookshelves you have, the easier it will be to crack the XP seed.
  • You will need the items you want to enchant. These are the items you will keep afterwards. These will be called the "wanted items" for the rest of the tutorial.
  • You will need a bunch of throwaway enchantable items (e.g. stone swords). The type of item doesn't matter as long as you can enchant it. These will be called the "dummy items" for the rest of the tutorial. You will need two more dummy items than wanted items.
  • You will need some lapis lazuli, 4 per wanted item and then 2 extra.
  • You will need a bunch of items to throw on the ground and pick back up again. At least 5 stacks is recommended. This can be any item.
  • You will need a block to block off the bookshelves with (e.g. torches).
  • Bear in mind that the inability to kill any mobs or have mending equipped makes collecting XP a problem. A zombie pigman XP farm is recommended since you don't kill the mobs directly, as long as you start it before you start following the instructions below. Otherwise you will need to collect all your levels before hand. You will need 4 levels of XP per wanted item, then 29 levels extra.

Step one: Finding the Player Seed

  1. Go to the enchantment table, place the dummy item in it and enchant it.

  2. Next, put another dummy item in the enchanting table, this time without enchanting it. There will be slot 1, slot 2, slot 3 with different levels with different enchantments. Open the tool, then on the XP seed tab, you will fill in accordingly.

E.g

  • Number of bookshelves: 15
  • Slot 1: 7
  • Slot 2: 12
  • Slot 3: 30
  1. Once everything is filled in, then you will press "Add info". There will be a lot of seeds that it will begin to search, wait until the process is finished. Once it's finished, place a torch between a bookshelf and the enchanting table to lower the number of bookshelves exposed to the enchanting table.
  2. Repeat the same step as the first one, but there will be different numbers.

E.g

  • Number of bookshelves: 14
  • Slot 1: 5
  • Slot 2: 8
  • Slot 3: 28

Reminder: Placing one torch doesn't always block exactly one bookshelf. If unsure, count the bookshelves that are connected to the enchanting table.

  • Repeat the process over and over again until there is a player seed similar to 9A1EB010. There will be eight digits in the range 0-9 and A-F.
  • Place these digits into the XP Seed 1 slot on the Player Seed tab in the tool (you can copy and paste it).
  • Once you have gotten that, place the dummy item into the enchanting table and enchant with level one enchantment.

Step two: Finding the Player Seed

  1. Press "Reset Cracker"
  2. Repeat step one. BUT, do not enchant anything once you have gotten the Player seed. Simply place that in the XP Seed 2 in the Player Seed tab in the tool and press Calculate.

Step three: Enchanting

Finally, you're almost there! Picking the desired enchantments.

  1. Once the player seed is calculated, go the the Manipulation tab. In the manipulation tab, there will be Wanted, Not wanted, and Don't care.

In the Item section of Manipulation, you will put the tool that you will enchant. Examples:

  • diamond_pickaxe
  • diamond_sword
  • diamond_axe

You get the idea, it's the item ID used for commands, without the minecraft: prefix. A full list can be found on the Minecraft Wiki.

  1. Then, you can insert the desired enchantments in the Enchantment section. It should look something like this:

For example, for a sword: sweeping 3 sharpness 4 unbreaking 3 fire_aspect 2

A full list of enchantment IDs can be found on the Minecraft Wiki. These should also be specified without the minecraft: prefix.

  1. Once you have selected an enchantment, add them using the Wanted button. If you want to remove them, simply type the same name in the Enchantment section and press Don't care button.

Not Wanted can be used if there's a specific enchantment you do not want.

The final step.

  1. Once you have chose the desired enchantments for your desired tool, you will press Calculate under the Manipulation tab. Once it is pressed, there will be something like:

Throw 87 (1:23) B:15 S:3 This means throw 87 items away from your inventory (which is 1 full stack + 23 extra items), and the wanted enchantment will be in slot 3 with 15 bookshelves connected to the enchanting table (it won't be there yet until you do the dummy enchantment in the next sentence!). Be sure to throw out all the items individually, without throwing out a stack at a time.

  1. Then, you enchant a dummy item to apply your changes to the XP seed.

If it says "No Dummy" it means you do not need to throw any items, and you skip enchanting the dummy item. On the other hand, if it says "Throw 0 items", you still have to enchant the dummy item.

  1. After that enchant using the values given by the tool.

The tool will often have you use 15 bookshelves and slot 3, but not always. Be sure to check everything

Repeat with more items

You do not need to re-crack the seed every time you do an enchantment. Instead, to let the tool know you followed the final step, press Done in the manipulation tab. Then you can repeat the steps in the manipulation tab over and over again to enchant as many items as you like. If you don't press Calculate again without pressing Done, the tool assumes you did not throw any items and did not do the dummy enchant.

Ending the process

  • You don't need to do anything special at the end. The game will continue to function normally
  • If you do any of the prohibited actions, the process stops immediately. You will need to start over from scratch.

Enjoy!
