Description: This course may be considered as a follow-up of "Introduction to Search Engines", and it will be designed as an hands-on course in which students will organize themselves in groups and choose a topic to dig into, according to their disciplinary background and where Search Engines or Information retrieval in general is a key component. The teacher will provide some scientific material to prepare a seminar on that topic that will be discussed in class; the seminar will address that topic by deploying what students have learned in "Introduction to Search Engines" and discussed in this course to some application scenarios of their interest.
