Computing Access - EMPHATICSoft/emphaticsoft GitHub Wiki

In order to work on emphaticsoft software development you will need to have access to Fermilab computing resources. On-site access and computing accounts are described here: Fermilab access

Fermilab will provide you with a kerberos principal, a 'services' account, and set up email forwarding. Please use your institutional representative as your Fermilab point-of-contact. While COVID restrictions remain in place, please only request remote access unless instructed otherwise.

Once Fermilab onboarding is complete, or you are already a Fermilab user, you can request EMPHATIC computing access:

Submit a service desk ticket for an EMPHATIC project account:

1. Navigate to Fermilab ServiceNow
2. In the search bar type: Experiment/Project/Collaboration Computing Account, or try this link)
3. Enter your name, then in the Select Affiliation/Experiment dropdown select T-1396 EMPHATIC
4. Verify that the correct Kerberos Principal is displayed when you enter your name
5. Enter your Institution Name, then click Submit

You should eventually get an email to confirm you can access EMPHATIC computing resources. Time to start coding!
