  • separate Stratum-1 "sync" server (which acts as Stratum-0)

    • North American ones: needs to go through OSG
      • Fermilab + Brookhaven + Univ. of Nebraska (also gateway "sync" server)

  • should make repository-specific configuration, so we can have a different list of Stratum 1s per repo
  • using eessi.science CNAMEs for all servers in the official config should be fine

    • sends emails to cmvfs-server-alarm mailing list, who then contact Stratum-1 admins
  • can leverage CVMFS_USE_CDN to pick a specific CDN (e.g. CVMFS_USE_CDN=aws)
