Notes:

  • Quick update about recent events, new repo, MultiXscale deliverables and milestones
  • Credits
    • Still at about 1000-1500 per month
    • No Magic Castle cluster in Azure yet
      • ETA? Could this be done early 2024?
        • Will check with Alan and Kenneth, who did the same for AWS
        • Developer of MC is on EESSI slack and is very helpful and quick at solving issues
      • When it is in place, we can promote this in various ways/channels
  • Davide is interested in using EESSI for CryoEM use cases, for which he needs RELION
    • Tricky because of all its (optional) dependencies
    • Version with AI support needs a very specific version of PyTorch: https://github.com/3dem/relion/issues/972
    • Would need GPU support as well
      • This is almost available in the EESSI repo now, as we need it for MultiXscale by the end of the year
