Some notes on using the iOptron SkyHunter:

iOptron sells the SkyHunter in a variety of configurations. We require one of the Equatorial configurations.

The SkyHunter includes a WiFi interface, but it doesn't allow configuring the network configuration and thus is most useful from a mobile phone app in the field.

For the DEB Initiative we expect to control the mount through the mini-USB interface, as we expect the controlling computer to want a network interface which can upload data.

DEB-specific operational notes

• Our telescope AskarFMA180 is fairly light and so the counterweight may need closer placed closer than will allow the knob to rotate freely on the DEC axis. A grub screw e.g. is a potential solutino.
