■ Dragons are not born. People become dragons. There are several ways to become one.

● Dragon Altar

■ The Dragon Altar is the main way to interact with the mod and access the menu for selecting your dragon form. This is where you can change your body type, appearance, become human again, or become a different creature. If the modpack settings have not been changed, this block can be crafted using Elder Dragon Bone. It can be obtained from certain monsters, as well as by mining ore that gives experience (coal, diamonds, and others). You can also try clicking the dragon bone on different blocks to get an altar.

■ You can see specific recipes using the REI or JEI mods. Any other mod requires this, so this will be useful not only for Dragon Survival. Press U or R on any item and you will see all related recipes.

■ If you want to disable altar crafting for modpack, change the transform_altar config.

● Dragon Choice Menu

■ By default, at the start of the game you get the dragon selection menu about 5 seconds after connecting to the world. The game will be paused if it is a singleplayer. This menu may not appear if you are using very old versions (before 1.16) or in config has startWithDragonChoice = false. In version 1.21.1+, if you accidentally skip this menu, this selection will be available again in your survival inventory.

● Commands

■ Before 1.21.1 you can become a dragon with the command /dragon. Examples: /dragon sea 1 true (sea newborn dragon with wings and spin) or /dragon forest 3 false (forest adult dragon without wings). In the new versions, this command has been augmented with the choice of body types: /dragon sea west 2 false (sea young west dragon without wings)

■ In version 1.21.1+, the commands look like this: /dragon dragonsurvival:cave dragonsurvival:center dragonsurvival:adult Dev. If you have difficulty with this, you better use it: /dragon-altar.

■ Alternate command: /dragon-altar and /dragon-editor for open GUI.

● Back to Human

■ Before 1.21.1 you can return to human form at any time through all of these points above or the command /dragon human. You will lose all growth and magic progress if saveAllAbilities = false and saveGrowthStage = false.

■ After 1.21.1 command /dragon dragonsurvival:human. You can use Dragon Soul to save your progress. You can find this item in The End structures.
