Intro

In the district of Beninging, Amiel (Emilio) from Palettown is walking to the adventurers' guild when he hears a woman scream, “Help me find my son. He went into the Dark Forest”. A woman, Ealoviel (Mario), from the side says, “He's dead”. She begins to cry, and a concerned guard checks in and assures us he's dead. Ealoviel tells her they will at least try to find her.

They make it to the adventurers guild and see three people, Eden (Balkis), SpongeBomb (Joe), and Panini (Darrell), looking for a drink. They introduce themselves and agree to join the guild and the mission. We check the Finding the Son quest, which is a diamond tier adventure. Since we just joined, we are not allowed to take it.

In order to do the quest, we need to find a diamond level adventurer, Maria. Luckily, she walks into the door. Dressed Bloodborne style with two weapons at her side. We try to approach her, but she ignores us. After some persuasion, she agrees to help, but can't guarantee our safety.

Finding the Son

We want to make a gun to protect ourselves, as Eden is an artificer. We go to a merchant for materials. After some bartering, Eden buys materials along with a small piece of magical metal. They then go to the magic shop, where Ealoviel is acquaintances with the owner. Amiel gets his sword enchanted to do cold damage, and SpongeBomb buys pouches of water powder. Eden makes a gun with the magical metal and duplicates it and gives one to Panini.

Maria leads us to the forest in the morning. As we enter, the atmosphere changes and it is very dark. We see the boy with half of his head missing. We hear a roar and he runs away. We follow, and we find a wendigo eating the boy. He turns to Maria and we initiate a fight. After a hard fight due to the wendigo’s resilience, the wendigo is killed, but so was the boy.

We exit the forest and we see the woman. We tell her the news, but she doesn't know what we're talking about. Her granddaughter also asks her, but she still doesn't know. Maria recognizes this. She knows about adventurers who claim they have witnessed something similar. They say that when someone dies to a familiar of the Goddess beyond the Outer Wall, they never existed in the first place. This means the quest for the boy never existed, so we don't get paid.

But the girl, Elijah, remembers her brother. She is a worshiper of Froggy of a high level, enough to give sermons. We ask her why no one else remembers and why she still does. We go to the Froggy temple where she prays, and we learn from Froggy that she made her remember her brother despite the “future consequences”. She needs it to complete her destiny and to ensure the future.

The middle class

A week has passed since, having done various adventures in the meantime. We are trying to gain a reputation. During those quests we see various people with lab coats and armed guards. There is also one with four arms. They are accompanied by a young girl. They go in and out of the forest. You usually wouldt see these people in the slums, they look very official.

We start off in the adventurers tavern. Ealoviel and Eden are not drunk, Spogebomb and Amiel are tipsy, while Panini and Elijah are drunk. Maria on the other hand is blacked out. We feel the ground tremble and we hear a massive explosion from the forest. Eden and Ealoviel go to check it out while the rest try to sober up and wake up Maria. We assume there are more Wendigo. We go through the same entrance and reach the same fork in the road. We go back to the right, and after endless walking we reach a fire, trees levelled, and the wall that separates the outside world and the city, is looming above us. We see a bunch of bodies, most of whom are armed guards.

We see a scientist and the girl standing on the side. We intimidate some guards, and find out that the scientist is a researcher from the lab district. There is no information about the girl. Eden tries to sneak behind them but the scientist was very aware. We surround them and asl who he is. His name is Issac, the head researcher from the laboratory zone. He will not say what lab. We ask about the girl and he draws his gun. I manage to dodge it and grazes me.

The girl goes up to a dead scientist's body and touches it. In that time, we shoot and kill Issac. The girl walks toward him, we try to stop it, but the guy she touched before comes back to life and starts firing upon us. The girl glows and everyone gets back up and points their rifles towards us. We ran back to the tavern in fear. We tell the rest of the party of what happened in the forest. Eden makes a homunculus owl named Oil to observe the forest and report back to us.

In the morning Oil comes back and reports that the scientists are going back to their facilities and are done with their experiments. We go to the library and we find that a necromancer would not bring them back in the same way as she did. We go back to the crater to see if there are any clues or anything left behind. Eden finds a paper with a blueprint of a weapon that they were seemingly testing there; a carpet bomb. Something went wrong because the explosion was not as big as it should have been. The project is in the early stages. We send Oil to watch the science team go back.

We go to the tavern to look at the quest board. We choose the one to represent beninging in the Adventurer’s Guild meeting. We have to go through the middle class part of the city and go to the unusually high end building, kind of like a cathedral. We see many other adventurers, blacksmiths, magic books and potions. We stop a robbery of an old man's staff.

We walk into a bomb shop and Amiel seduces the girl, and buys a Lunabomb at a discount. Eden asks about the blueprints. She reveals that the gunpowder is extraordinarily special and only the elites have it, not to mention the sheer amount of it needed. She warns us that there is enough gunpowder to level the city. The only person she knows that can make it disappeared about two months ago. She agrees to follow us at least to the bomb maker's house nearby.

Before we go, we hear a welcome to the Adventurer's grand meeting. We see the old man who we saved from theft. He turns out to be the grand master of the Guild. Then comes a giant mech that disappears to reveal the head guard FireFly. We listen to the recent developments. Then, the head researcher is introduced, Isacc. Isacc starts a monologue that says he finds humans disgusting and weak. Everyone but Spongebomb back out of the crowd. Spongebomb goes backstage while the rest go to the missing bomb maker’s house.

Backstage, FireFly turns on the light to reveal herself and charges at SpongeBomb. He tries to remind her that she is the elf that once fought alongside her. He warns her about the bomb and of Isacc. He fails. FireFly thinks he was the one who planted the bomb and arrests him.

At the same time, we run to the house of the lost bomb maker. It's empty and dusty. We search the house, most of it is empty, but Eden finds an underground stash of powder, blueprints, and finished bombs. We hear a fuse and we start to run. A bomb goes off and unfortunately Amiel gets hurt heavily. We also see two guards running away.

Spongebomb was interrogated but was let go after they realised he had nothing to do with it besides being a dumbass. He makes it back to the group after seeing the commotion. We plan to use a bit of the powder as a distraction to infiltrate the lab.

The Laboratory raid

We received a map from Oil via WhatsApp. Eden synthesises powder for a total of 180 units of a barrell. She uses 30 units to make bombs she will scatter around the facility. The plan is to disguise ourselves like scientists (Panini, Eden, SpongeBomb) and (Ealoviel and Maria), guarding Amiel who acts like a prisoner. He knows where the generators are and knows how to destabilize them without a bomb.

We go to a store to get some coats and armor for the guards. After haggling we pay 25 gold. We tell the guards Amiel needs to be contained fast to get past ID check, he guides us and we go to room 5. It is dim and has a large, deep square hole in the middle. Above it there hang large wires that go all the way down that are locked in place. There is a console there and a big button that says up. Ealoviel casts feather fall and we throw the homunculus into the hole. It takes 10 seconds and means the hole is 500 feet deep. He video calls on WhatsApp and we see dead scientists, guards shooting at something, and then we see a sword flying to Oil and the feed cuts.

We continue to room 4. This is where Amiel worked and he sees it gets more decrepit and decrepit, until half the room is gone. We see a ball of energy in the middle of the room arcing everywhere. There is no more plan. There is no generator.

Ealoviel and Eden go to the telescope room to see what's going on. There is a giant warning sign on the screen and everyone is stressed. The scientists explained the white wolf woman hybrid is loose. We see the feed of a white wolf with two swords killing everyone. She has a disease that has a lot of rocks growing on her body. Her medical records show she is dying. They don't know how she got there, she just showed up. I look around and see the map. The remaining room is a factory. Ealoviel says she has to go to the bathroom and run back to the generator room and tell them to light the fuse when she says so.

Balkis goes into the observatory and uses the telescope and she looks at the stars. As she looks at them, she also feels looked at.

She tells Eden to grab a computer and run when Ealoviel says. Ealoviel then knocks out a scientist and runs to the exit and screams "Light the fuse!". Everyone does their thing and as soon as we leave the base explodes.

The wolf comes out hurt but alive. A guy with big wings also flies towards us with high speed. I try to ask them for mercy because we saved them. The winged man lands in front of us with a long broadsword looking mad. He grabs the sword and an energy flies to us. We try to dodge and only Balkis avoids it. We convince him Elijah can heal her but we are interrupted by Issac and Alice who show up. The winged man asks if we work for them and he gets mad. He slashes Ealoviel and she gets transported into the ininite void. A being approaches me and says “It isn’t your time yet. Come back to me when you are strong” and Ealoviel gets sent back with little health.

The winged man gets mad at “her interference”. I tell him we are not with Isaac and he dashes towards him and knocks him out. He blitzes towards Alice and says “This time, you will work for me”. He knocks her out and flies towards the main tower. As he arrives we see him crash into it.

We have a half-dead Isaac, a half-dead wolf, and we see a message in front of us that says “The god of humanity has been slain. This world is now in great turmoil. The gods are awaiting your response”.

We tie up Isaac and we take him and the Wolf to Elijiah to heal her.
