Once you find our entrance on Kempston Street, ring the intercom to be let in and come up to the 1st Floor, which can be reached by using either the stairs or the accessible lift.

Public transport

We are a 10 minute walk (4 minute bike ride) from Lime Street Station. The fastest way there, if you’re running for a train, is to head down the left-hand side of London Road, past the school uniform shop and Boots chemist, then when you reach Lazeez Kurdish Charcoal Grill, turn left onto Hotham Street – this will bring you to the side entrance (Lord Nelson Street entrance) of Lime Street Station, opposite Ma Egerton’s pub.

We are a 5 minute walk from the Greek Street / Pembroke Place / Monument Place bus stops (opposite the London Road Tesco and Post Office) which lead to destinations including: Queen Square and Liverpool ONE interchanges, Dale Street, Norris Green, St Helens, and Huyton.

Car parking

Car parking on the street is free after 6pm, but expensive and limited to 2 hours during the day (even at weekends). The going day rate for private carparks is £3.50 a day.

Nearby places to eat

  • Bee Bee’s Café – 2 minutes away, opposite the pharmacy on the semi-pedestrianised part of London Road. Our nearest greasy spoon, good for breakfast sarnies and barms. Used to open 9am, but has been patchy since the pandemic.
  • Bekas Café – 3 minutes away, on Pembroke Place, opposite Monument Place market square. Kurdish/Iraqi café with a limited food selection, but good cakes, sweets, and turkish/arabic coffees. English, Iraqi, and Arabic cooked breakfasts from 8am weekdays. Relaxing atmosphere.
  • Café Marmalade – 3 minutes away, on Pembroke Place, opposite Prime Prams. Popular with students and university staff. Good range of food. Cosy atmosphere. Opens 9am.
  • Torino Italian Café – 5 minutes away, in the Accelerator Building on Daulby Street (the one with the big curved glass front). Mini pizzas and panini. Limited stock, so tends to run out by mid-afternoon.
  • The Brain Charity café – 5 minutes away, on Norton Street. Run mostly to cater for events held at the Brain Charity, but food is available to eat-in. Cheap and cheerful. Open 9–5.
