In the Wwise tab of Audiokinetic Launcher, press Launch Wwise next to the appropriate version to open the authoring tool where you'll be greeted with the Project Launcher window.

Press New at the bottom and in the following window, enter a descriptive name for your project so you'll remember what it does.
Then, press "Select None" under the Import factory assets to project scrollbox.

[!NOTE] If you get a popup about a missing license, simply close it.

Changing the Default Conversion Settings

Before anything else, check the Project Explorer dock in the top-left corner and select the ShareSets tab.

Navigate the hierarchy Conversion Settings > Default Work Unit > Default Conversion Settings and double click on it.

Near the center of the window is a list of platforms and audio settings. The "Format" column should have its value set as PCM by default but we'll pick Vorbis for better filesizes and compression.

Once you're done, close the window as there is no Save button.
