The LA Pack is a fraternal organization, street gang, and motorcycle club mainly associated with in Angeles. It additionally has a strong presence in Los Caídos and Salinas. Mexican-Americans make up the largest ethnic group in the LA Pack, but it is multiethnic.

History

Although multiracial gangs are not new, the LA Pack is somewhat unique in being one of the first gangs formed mainly around serotype. Its predecessor, the, was developed around 2012 in response to tensions between people with the T-virus and cachaemites.

After the Millbrae Massacre, the declared a war on Z-virus infected people. In practice, this generally meant Romeros or feral infected, which increased their popularity among people who supported lethal methods of controlling the virus. It also nearly tore the organization apart — local law enforcement largely did not prosecute the murders, but the feds had different ideas, gradually tracking down the gang's leadership and mass-arresting most of the ringleaders.

Serotype details

All members are required to be infected with the T-virus. All who wish to formally join the gang undergo a hazing ritual known as the Awakening, which concludes with them unleashing their anger.

People who cannot use the T-virus properly, or who lose the ability, are called desnudos by the LA Pack - a term that has since become the widely-accepted word for such people, in spite of it being a bit degrading. Desnudos within the LA Pack are generally treated as lesser, although they are still "brothers." Some desnudos seek the z-virus to increase their abilities and social standing.

Although trifected are generally seen as positive in Licentia, the LA Pack tends to consider them a liability. Most of the trifected in their ranks only became that way after their Awakening.

Allies and rivals

After a tense meeting between Cipher, Watchdog, Jang-mi, and several others, the LA Pack gradually grew to support Proto-Licentia.

They are rivals with the Dobermen, a much smaller group of smugglers.

Where incarcerated members of the LA Pack end up tend to depend on whether the prison is single or mixed serotype. A complex web of alliances and grudges is diligently tracked by a small but passionate community of Redditors, all of whom just happen to be white.
