Game Modes - Die4Ever/deus-ex-randomizer GitHub Wiki
The Randomizer includes multiple game modes which can be selected from the New Game screen.
The totally normal Randomizer experience. Randomizes the costs and strengths of skills, and the strengths of augmentations. Shuffles locations of items/datacubes/nanokeys/crates/enemies. Randomizes passwords. Also randomizes which maps medical bots and repair bots are in, and much more!
The next step after completing Normal Randomizer. Also adds randomized goal locations and start locations, randomized auto turrets, reduced ammo, and more randomization in general.
The normal Randomizer, except every level transition is now shuffled to take you to a different level transition compared to normal. For more information, look here.

The randomizer optimized for extremely short bingo games. You will start on a random map, you'll instantly win after completing one bingo line, all bingo goals should be completable within 1 mission, all bingo goals are scaled down so they only need to be done once, and there are 5 free spaces (so all lines only require 4 goals).
A new mode where you play through the whole game, but must complete a set number of bingo lines before being allowed to progress to the next mission. Once you get to the next mission, you are given a new bingo board!
Zero Rando and Randomizer Lite trailer
As close to vanilla as possible, with Randomizer quality of life improvements and extra functionality (like Bingo or Crowd Control).
Same as Zero Rando, but with more of our Balance Changes included, such as hacking computers costing energy.
The randomizer, except not as much stuff has been randomized. Mostly retains immersion and objects are where you would expect them to be.
Similar to Randomizer Lite but with many more randomization features enabled by default. Remember you can tweak the settings in the Advanced menu to play with any randomization level you want.
The Randomizer experience, except enemy quantities have been cranked up, damage multipliers are decreased, and maximum health has been increased.
Randomizer, optimized for a slightly more consistent speedrun experience with fewer resets. Also enables the built-in timer with splits view!
Try to survive against waves of enemies in the Cathedral, with items spawning between waves.

There are multiple varieties of Halloween modes that all have the same additions as the above game modes.
- Halloween Mode (based on Normal Randomizer mode)
- WaltonWare Halloween
- Mr. Page's Horryfing Bingo Machine
- Zombies Horde Mode
- Stalkers that cannot be permanently killed.
Click to expand spoiler hints for Stalkers
- Stalkers cannot be killed permanently, but they can be damaged for temporary relief. By default there will only be one type in each map.
- Mr. H
- Mr. H is immortal but you can hurt him to make him run away for a bit.
- Weeping Anna
- She can only move, attack, or take damage when you aren't looking.
- She's fast, faster than you can believe.
- Learn to run backwards and always keep her in sight.
- You can try to attach a LAM to the floor and look away before it explodes. Or shoot a projectile and turn away quickly. Even tranquilizer darts will work.
- Bobby
- Little guy with a big knife.
- Hangs out in packs but he doesn't have much health.
- Once you see him he will stay facing you. When you turn your back he will pull out his knife and attack with all his buddies.
- There will also be many unpossessed dolls on each map, even maps with no possessed Bobbys. They still face you because that's a function of the Page Industries toy: "We even turn our heads and blink our eyes."
- In default Halloween mode settings, if you see a Mr. H or Weeping Anna this means there cannot also be any possessed Bobbys in the same map.
- When he's low on health he will run away and try to find an unpossessed doll to transfer his soul into. The area will briefly go dark when he does this.
- You can destroy the unpossessed Bobbys in order to prevent his soul transfer.
- Limited and Fixed saves (you need a Memory Containment Unit to save, and you must save near a computer), see: Save Behaviors (not available in Horde Mode)
- We've seen some confusion with Limited Fixed Saves. When you have a Memory Containment Unit in your inventory (or 2 for the new Extreme version) you only need to have the box highlight on the computer and then you can use the normal Save Game menu or Quicksave button. The only freebie autosave you get is at the very start of the game. Make sure to save before going to Battery Park! Sometimes you might want to backtrack to save. Remember that if you die not all is lost, because you now have a better plan!
- Zombies will spawn from dead carcasses after about 20 seconds (adjustable using the "Enemies Respawn Seconds" option in the Advanced menu) (hint: destroy the bodies).
- You start with Run Silent instead of Speed aug (optional in Advanced settings).
- You need to loot your Halloween costumes. (clothes looting option in Advanced)
- Light aug level 1 is dim (like in vanilla) and costs more energy. Upgrade to level 2 to make it brighter and remove the energy cost!
- Halloween cosmetics: Jack 'o' Lanterns, and spiderwebs!
