Create Announcement Subscription for Cloud Notifications

Overview

Announcement Subscription in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is used to receive cloud-related notifications and updates from Oracle.

These notifications may include:

  • New OCI feature announcements
  • Newly launched VM shapes or cloud services
  • “What’s New in OCI” updates

Creating an announcement subscription helps administrators stay informed about important OCI platform updates and incidents.

Purpose of Announcement Subscription

The main purpose of creating an announcement subscription is to receive proactive notifications from Oracle Cloud.

Accessing Announcement Subscription

In OCI Console:

  1. Select the Root Compartment and open Subscriptions

  2. Click on Create Announcement Subscription
