• Press the Windows and R keys, type “services.msc” into the search box, then select “OK.”

• Scroll down until you find “Windows Update.”
•
• Right-click on “Windows Update” and select “Stop.”
•
• Press the Windows key and select “Computer.”
•
• Double-click “Local Disk (C:).”
•
• Double-click the “Windows” folder.
•
• Scroll down until you find a folder called “SoftwareDistribution.”
•
• Right-click the “SoftwareDistribution” folder and select “Delete.”
•
• Return to the Windows Registry, right-click on “Windows update” and select “Start.”
•
• Press the Windows key, expand “Shutdown” menu and select “Restart.”
