Automatic Backups

In v2.0.0.0+ we added a feature that automatically backups your settings every time a new version is installed. You can find them in %AppData%\XIVLauncher\pluginConfigs\DelvUI\Backups.

We also recommend everyone to regularly backup their plugin settings to prevent data loss. The JustBackup plugin from the Dalamud list is a good way of doing that.

DelvUI not loading / Profiles section is missing

  1. Close the game
  2. Backup %AppData%\XIVLauncher\pluginConfigs\DelvUI
  3. Delete %AppData%\XIVLauncher\pluginConfigs\DelvUI\Profiles
  4. Re-open game

This should restore your last used settings. The profile will be named Restored Profile.

You can then go to the Profiles section and import your old .delvui files with the "Import from File" button.

My .delvui profile file is corrupted and I can't import it

If you have a .delvui file that got corrupted, but you still have all the settings folder saved, you can use those files to reconstruct the last used profile:

  1. Close the game
  2. Backup %AppData%\XIVLauncher\pluginConfigs\DelvUI (just in case...)
  3. Delete all contents in %AppData%\XIVLauncher\pluginConfigs\DelvUI
  4. Copy all contents from your backup into %AppData%\XIVLauncher\pluginConfigs\DelvUI
  5. Delete %AppData%\XIVLauncher\pluginConfigs\DelvUI\Profiles
  6. Re-open game
