Calibration - DeeEmm/DIY-Flow-Bench GitHub Wiki
Calibration data can be viewed and edited on the Calibration page of the GUI. This data includes the calibration orifice data for orifice based benches as well as calibration orifice used to set the baseline calibration offset as described in the calibrating section.
Calibration data values can also be manually overwritten by editing the stored values and then hitting the 'Save' button
Calibration Orifice Settings
- Cal Orifice Flow Rate: Flow value in CFM that the calibration orifice flows at the stated depression
- Cal Orifice pRef: Reference depression in in/H2O that the calibration orifice was measured at
Orifice Data
- Orifice #1-6 Flow Rate: Flow value in CFM that the numbered orifice flows at the stated depression
- Orifice #1-6 pRef: Reference depression in in/H2O that the orifice was measured at
Calibration Data
- Calibration Offset: Difference between calibration orifice and measured flow value in cfm
- Leak Test Baseline: Flow value measured with closed system sealed at test surface (system test)
- Leak Test Offset: Flow value measured with job mounted and sealed at its inlet (workpiece test)
- Leak Test Baseline Rev (cfm): as per Baseline leak test but for reverse flow
- Leak Test Offset Rev (cfm): as per leak test offset but for reverse flow
Calibrate
The Calibrate buttons allow you to undertake a flow offset calibration and leak test calibration.
NOTE: Before using these, please read the Calibrating you bench section for detailed step-by-step instructions on calibrating your flow bench. Once you are familiar with the correct procedures you can use the abbreviated sequence below.
- Manually zero all offsets in the red box
- Baseline Leak Test - (Seal the test surface) This measures the amount of leakage in the system. You will need to manually enter this value.
- Flow offset calibration - (Place the test orifice on the test surface) This measures the difference between the calibration plate value and the measured value. The difference is stored as an offset.
- Leak test offset - (Mount the test piece) This measures the amount of leakage in the test object.
