Harvest Levels - Davoleo/Metallurgy-4-Reforged GitHub Wiki

In vanilla Minecraft, some blocks require a pickaxe of a certain tier to break. This is a core concept as well as is also expanded upon in Metallurgy 4: Reforged, with harvest levels now reaching an 8th tier (Previously 4). The following are the list of tiers and their respective metals:

Metal Blocks Harvestability

Every Metal Block has a harvest level of 1

Ores Harvestability:

Here's the ore harvest level list in ascending order:

  1. Copper, Deep Iron, Phrometheum, Tin, Zinc;
  2. Infuscolium, Manganese, Osmium, Silver;
  3. Astral Silver, Ignatius, Oureclase, Rubracium, Shadow Iron;
  4. Ceruclase, Eximite, Kalendrite, Midasium, Orichalcum, Platinum, Vulcanite;
  5. Alduorite, Carmot, Lemurite, Lutetium, Meutoite, Mithril, Sanguinite, Vyroxeres;
  6. Adamantine, Atlarus;

Pickaxe Harvest Levels:

All Pickaxes have harvest levels that is either the same one as their ore or one harvest level above the one of the ore block.

When looking to advance in the mod you'll be looking for metals that allow you to create pickaxes which have a better harvest level than the ore they're made of; Here below is a list of metals that have the property descripted above.

  1. Copper, Deep Iron, Prometheum, Bronze, Brass, Damascus Steel
  2. Osmium, Steel, Black Steel
  3. Ignatius, Shadow Iron
  4. Eximite, Vulcanite, Celenegil
  5. Shadow Steel, Inolashite, Haderoth, Desichalkos, Krik, Etherium
  6. Tartarite

Progression Graph:

This is a progression graph with all the metals and what tier they belong to if you prefer a visual representation rather than a list of harvest levels.

Here you can see milestone metals (ones that have bold names), that are those metals that will allow you to advance to the next tier (e.g. you need a pickaxe of Ignatius or Shadow Iron to advance from tier 3 and mine tier 4 ores)

Here you can also see whether a metal is primitive or is an alloy, and if it's an alloy you can see the ingredients you need to create it

Note: This kind of progression tree is also present in-game in the mod's advancements GUI Note: Since the tree is very big and Github might shrink the preview to make it fit the wiki page you can click on the image to open the source image!
