Operator Profile - DatasmithSA/NTrack-Android-Help GitHub Wiki

This screen allows for viewing the currently logged in operator profile and permissions they have been assigned.

The following information is provided:

Operator Identifier: the unique number of the operator on the system.

  • Operator Name: the name of the operator which does not need to be unique on the system.
  • Allow Delivery: whether or not the operator is allowed to enter the delivery process on the mobile app. Supervisors can disable a operator's ability to perform a delivery using this option by changing the setting on the server. This may be used in cases where an operator is no longer employed by the company and/or the operator has been suspended.
  • Allow Deliver All: the trolley items screen provides a checkbox that allows an operator to automatically flag all items on the trolley as delivered i.e. setting all delivered quantities as equal to the expected quantities. This operator profile setting can enable or disable this functionality because in certain scenarios it may be preferable for accuracy purposes to force the operator to go through each item's details and set the delivered quantities explicitly.
  • Allow Edit Device Config: this setting dictates whether an operator is allowed to edit the application Settings which can be accessed from the Main Menu. If this setting is disabled, the Settings can still be edited, but will require authorization from an Operator with the Supervisor role.
  • Allow View Device Info: whether or not the operator is allowed to open the device information screen from the main menu. If this setting is disabled, the Device Info screen can still be opened, but will require authorization from an Operator with the Supervisor role.
  • Allow Delete Database: whether or not the operator is allowed to delete the database on the device using the option from the Main Menu. If this setting is disabled, the Device Info screen can still be opened, but will require authorization from an Operator with the Supervisor role.
  • Date Created: the date when the operator was created not the system.

N.B. the above permissions only apply for regular Operators with the Driver role. An Operator with the Supervisor role will be granted all of the above permissions by default regardless of the permission set for the Operator i.e. assigning the Supervisor role to the Operator will override any individual permissions set for the Operator.
