Route Configs
- The Route Configurations page allows you to create route settings based on the number of routes that can typically run in a day in the warehouse. The number of routes largely depends on the number of vehicles that each warehouse uses to perform deliveries to customers. These route configurations are not to be confused with routes that run on a daily basis. The names of the routes and the settings applied in these configurations will be used to create route instances on a daily basis. N.B. the Wave Configurations are created once off and edited seldomly.
This screen displays the lists of Routeconfig.
• Name: the name of the route e.g. 1, 2, or 3, but it can also be alphanumeric.
• Description: a friendly description of the wave e.g. Johannesburg East.
• Wave: which wave configuration this route belongs to. Keep in mind that each wave will have multiple routes.
• Delivery Days: these are the days of the week when the route will run. This setting is used to filter and link sales orders to a route. If for
example it is Tuesday today and a wave instance and route instance is created, only sales orders that belong to the route and wave and which are
scheduled for delivery on a Tuesday will be linked to the wave and route.
• Date Created: the date when this route configuration was created.
• Edit: this button allows you change the fields of the route.
