Wireframes - DanielvandeVelde/Matcher GitHub Wiki
Some wireframes based on the features and job stories I've created.
These served as an indication on what I had to make and a rough sketch of what I wanted it to look like.
The first view when a user visits the website.
I wanted to make the home something that tells the user about what the application is without showing any of the users information whatsoever.
I felt that privacy was kind of important, I dislike other datingsites having pictures of users front and center.
I thought about showing a map with where our users wanted to go, but felt like that might also give away information and give a user a reason to sign up or not sign up based on where the current userbase wants to go.
Registering is of course a big part of a website where you want constant identity. Here I chose to just let the user register a username & password and to ask all the other information later on.
The second step is to create a profile for yourself. Here you provide the data to have a great profile and important information, so you can find matches and matches can find you.
Logging in is also very important. Easiest way to confirm your online identity is by a username and password.
E-mail was also possible here but username made the most sense since that's also needed for the profile of the user.
Very basic, showing a picture, name and age. As well as all the places they want to travel to.
I created a 'send message' button since I wanted people to be able to contact eachother.
Didn't quite have an idea if I wanted them to 'confirm' their matches or have a chat function so this seems the most straight forward.
The main page when logged in shows a view of the users.
At this stage I wanted to show all the users in the world and then let the user pick and choose which pin (users) he wanted to view.
This later changed into only viewing the pins of the people surrounding yours.
I think that's the more honest approach, if you want to go to India, you go to India with people that also want to go there.
No reason to suddenly try to match with someone that wants to go to Brazil.
