Minutes

The call started with a review of the v2.0 project. Brian noted that he had just generically added "cPP" to a lot of the new pull requests from the public review period so they showed up there, but otherwise the project is still progressing well.

The next topic was to review the open pull requests, focused on the ones that have been added since the public review. The majority of these were closed very quickly with little discussion (they had already been approved), and were generally minor editorial changes (to the point that no comments were left in the PR due to the nature of the edits). The remaining pull requests will be be reviewed by the authors to be updated for the next release.

The final area of discussion was to review the current open issues for v2.0. The CSP Issue was moved to v3 at this time. All the open issues were assigned for work (or investigation) prior to the next call. Issues were commented with notes about next steps (or assigned to someone).

There was a last quick discussion about the crypto catalog. This was mostly focused on when the EAs may be provided. It was still unclear as the comment period was extended again and it isn’t clear if the NIST CAVP will be accepted as evidence given that the testing requirements may change at any time by NIST (without full notice of the change). It was also noted that some algorithms seem to have limited available documentation for how to test them, and as such may cause problems for creating the EAs. We may end up removing those for the time being if it means being able to complete the PP.

The next call has been proposed to be moved to Friday August 2 from August 1 due to Brian’s travel.

The call ended at 1:00pm EDT.
