Notes on specific metrics

DAP is constantly improving GA4, and GA4 is still in beta. Some of our GA4 metrics still need improvement. Here are details.

  • Downloads: This was an ongoing DAP developer issue, but as of March 24 I believe it has been fixed!
  • Outbound Links: This is an ongoing DAP developer issue. UA and DOI Agency Property are similar. The ODDD property is getting the same hits but event count is very different.
  • Site Searches: We have to view this in the Gov-Wide profile (Not DOI-Agency or ODDD). DAP is working on a fix. We are still going to utilize search.gov even if GA4 metrics start being more accurate.
