Before you begin, ensure you have the following:

• SAS (Science Analysis Software) installed and configured on your machine.
• SAOImage DS9 for viewing images and maps.
• A working directory containing folders with observation data from XMM-Newton. Each folder should contain:
  • Event files (*.ds)
  • Attitude files (*_AttHk.ds)
  • Calibration file (ccf.cif)
• Zsh shell for running the script.
