What Are the Rules for CTS Tablets?

1. Tablets will be utilized only for correspondence with family and friends, recreational use (music, movies, games, etc.) and educational purposes.
2. At no time shall the user possess another offender’s tablet.
3. At no time shall the user corrupt or attempt to corrupt any files on the tablet.
4. The user shall not attempt to install or use any equipment, lines, cable, or software on the tablet.
5. The user will not give his username and password to another offender.
6. The user will not use another offender’s username and password to access others tablet.
7. The user will be responsible for any unauthorized content found on their tablet.
8. The user will abide by all CDCR policies and procedures for offender use of computers.
9. If is the offender’s responsibility to immediately report any damage or theft of tablet to staff.
10. The tablets are only to be used in designated areas.
11. Inmates who are temporarily out-to-court or an outside health care facility shall retain their tablet in their personal property at the institution. If the inmate returns to the facility, the tablet may be returned to the inmate. If the inmate is transferred to another institution, the tablet will be returned to GTL.
