Flying a plane in the sim - CurryKitten/CurryKitten-Sim GitHub Wiki
New in 0.49b the ability to swap between flying a quad and a plane was added via the Scenarios menu. In its first iteration, the options are more limited than the quad, but the intention is to expand the capabilities of the model - along with the users ability to tune the plane to their own liking.
The plane works on the same controls as the quad, and takes the same joystick mapping and calibration. The labels on the radio screen would be slightly different, of course, where yaw would become rudder, pitch is elevator and roll is aileron.
Two new axis of control were added in the pan and tilt controls - which should be assigned to sliders on your radio if you have them. If you don't, manual altering of the camera angle in the same way as you would do so in a quad is supported, but manual panning is not. One word of warning about using the pan/tilt controls is to make sure that your slider controls are accurate. If you see any wobble in the radio debug page on either pan or tilt, then either increase the expo manually on your radio, or increase the deadzone on the Radio/Joystick setup page to combat this - as it will translate to a shaky looking camera.

What is currently supported when flying a plane is:
- The control overlay (press d)
- Changing the FPV lenses (press v)
- Switch to external camera angle (press c)
- Reset/Flip commands
- LOS mode (press l to toggle between LOS and FPV)
- Adjustable Gravity and Power
The gravity and power are recorded and separately from the quad, and where you might have an increased gravity to make the quad feel heavier, the plane feeling floaty is kind of the idea. These values are available to alter via the 1/2/3/4 keys, as per the quad, and you can also view what they are by hitting RETURN

By way of a happy accident, the Pan / Tilt commands have been left active in the external camera view which allows you to rotate around the plane and look at it from alternative angles.
