Mails are a unique feature of Kingdoms that provides each kingdom with basic mailing systems such as replies, CCs, inbox and sents. This mailbox is dedicated to kingdoms as a whole which is intended to be used for official announcements and communications between two kingdoms, so they're not for each individual players.

Your kingdom's mailbox is located in the nexus. You can see all the sent and received mails there. Only certain players with VIEW_MAILS rank permission can see this menu, and to write a mail, you need to have MANAGE_MAILS permission. To start writing a mail, click on the book icon on top of the page, it'll give you a book which you can write your mail in. This item is special. You can put it anywhere you want, other players can modify it too, but only players with permission can actually finalize and send this mail.

The mail content is the content of the book itself. You can use colors in the mail content if you want, but not placeholders or anything else. To modify other mail properties, like the subject, CC and etc, you need to right-click the book while sneaking (SHIFT default key)
Your mail must have a subject and a primary recipient. Primary and CC recipient rules basically follow the RFC standards.

You can preview the actual mail and how it'd look like in your mailbox and for the other kingdoms by opening the special properties menu (right-click + sneak) and clicking on the preview option.

To actually send the mail, you need to go back to your kingdom's mailbox and just drop the book into one of the free slots.
