Downloading the Installer
Gallery Download
Open the Wabbajack executable you downloaded earlier (it might update, be patient). Once it has loaded go to Browse Modlists search for Yggdrasil VR.
Manual Download
If you’re having issues or would rather use a mirror, you can download the modlist installer manually and then in Wabbajack click Install from Disk, navigate to the downloaded Yggdrasil VR.wabbajack file then click the Open button.
The Installation
After loading into the installer, the following screen should be displayed:
- Set the Installation Location field to the empty folder you were instructed to create earlier (hint: I referred to it as
X:\Yggdrasil VR\)
If you did create a separate downloads folder, set the Download Location to the path of that folder, otherwise move on.
- Click the
▶button when you're ready. - If you’ve never used Wabbajack previously it will now open it’s internal browser and ask if you’d like to authorize it to use your Nexus Mods account. You need to log in & click Authorize.
- Wabbajack will now install most of the modlist for you (if you have Nexus Premium, otherwise have a TV show or something on, you'll need to watch something for the few hours you'll be clicking on Download buttons).
[!NOTE] This can take anywhere from 2-12 hours depending on your computer’s specifications and internet speed. Be patient and let it do it’s work to completion! If, however, Wabbajack is stuck for more than 40 minutes on the same file, you can close and restart Wabbajack, then repeat the instructions above and it'll continue from where it left off.
Once Wabbajack has finished installing, the screen will look similar to the screenshot below.
If the install failed however:
- Re-read through all the steps in Initial Preparations and make sure you've completed everything that applies (especially the antivirus and pagefile ones!);
- Check that you have enough space on your drive(s), particularly in the middle of the install, as the
X:\Yggdrasil VR\folder can increase in size as the app is extracting and patching things; Then restart your PC and try again. If you're still encountering issues, try using the last Wabbajack 2.5 version by downloading the zip from here, extracting it into a folder of your choice and running theWabbajack.exefile from there; choose Install from Disk when prompted and open theYggdrasil VR.wabbajackfile, then choose the same folders as before and try the install again. If it's still not working, join the Discord and search for your issue, if there isn't one open a thread in the #setup-issues channel.
Setting up MO2
Now it’s time to open Mod Organizer 2.
Navigate to X:\Yggdrasil VR\ and open the MO2 - Yggdrasil.exe executable. If you see a window talking about "setting up MO2 to handle nxm links", press Yes. Your MO2 window should look similar (though not identical) to the screenshot underneath:
