T.1) Keep your spell tomes

Source: Grimoire

When you learn a spell you're still a novice at it, so you need to practice the spell with the spell tome in your inventory (either read the tome or just cast the spell) before you can say you've mastered the spell and are ready to cast it without the source material. Once you've mastered a spell you can sell the tome, and that'll be it, or you can keep the tome further and the more you cast it the better you'll get at it and the stronger the spell will get.

T.2) Enemies too tough? Practice your dodges

Source: Crouch to Dodge

Whenever you physically crouch enough to trigger sneaking you get immunity for a very short period of time, long enough to get you through an attack unphased. Once you've mastered this you'll be able to last much longer in fights.

T.3) Carry a torch, lantern, or make use of your Night Eye to keep up the pace in the dark

Source: Beware of Darkness

Since you can't reliably see in the dark, your character is more careful the darker it is, and will therefore walk slower. Keep a torch or lantern on you to help with this, or give one to your followers.

T.4) It's more fun, and safe, with friends

Grab a follower, having the option to get aggro off of you can save you in a pinch, and it'll help out with fights, though not too much, as damage is balanced based on the number of followers.

T.5) Build and Decorate

Sources: Campfire Unleashed, Decorator Helper

With the power of Campfire Unleashed and Decorator helper you can craft placeable statics and adjust their position as precisely as you want, and build yourself houses, castles or just decorate an existing interior, with the only limitation being the statics don't affect navmeshes, so npcs will just walk into them instead of around them. Craft a Builder's Workbench at the forge, place it down and use it. In it you'll find recipes for all the statics the mod can offer, from chests to cages to landscape items.

Once you've crafted one of them and placed them, you can adjust its position with Decorator Helper, preferably before applying its location (if what you're placing is a permanent thing). In your Spells menu, go to the Powers tab and equip Decorator Helper. Return to the game, and use the ability by pressing A on your controller. the first step now is selecting an object. you can cast the spell in your right hand as many times as you want until you get the correct object. if for some reason you can't seem to select it, do it while crouching, that'll let you select more things than usual. Once you've selected what you wanted, use the power yet again (A) and now you can start affecting the currently selected object. One hand controls the position, and you'll be moving the item relative to your body in-game, and the other rotates the object, relative to your camera view. This might be a bit confusing at first but you'll get used to it. Once you're done making your changes, use the ability again to reset the spells and clear the selection.
