V3 Extras - CraZyRc/WhackaMole GitHub Wiki

Now that you have fully set up the game, it is time to look at the extra things you can add to improve the experience

Scoreboards

each game has three kinds of scoreboards you can see with the command /wam game top {gamename} {scoretype}

the game keeps track of who has the highest score on the following points:

  • Moles - who has hit the most moles in total in a game
  • Score - who has the highest score in total in a game
  • Streak - who has hit the most moles in a row in a game

Each scoreboard will display the top 10 players with the score and the date of acquirement.

Highscores hologram

image
When creating a game, a hologram will spawn above the position where you create the game.

This hologram will update automatically and will display the high scoreholder for each of the three scoreboards. This hologram can be moved with the command /wam positions {gamename} highscore. The hologram will then be teleported to the location where you are currently standing.

This hologram can be toggled with the settings set command: /wam settings set {gamename} toggle-scoreboard {true/false}.

Scoreboard Holograms

image
By using the command /wam holo create {gameName} {holoID} {Type} {Size} you can create a holographic scoreboard playing the top players of each category.

{gameName} is for the game you wish to display.\ {holoID} is ka numerical value you must assign to the hologram, so you can edit the hologram later.
{Type} is for which type of scores you wish to display (molesHit, Score or Streak).
{Size} is how many rows you wish to display of topscores.\

These holograms have a few extra commands for functionality.
/wam holo select {gameName} {holoID} allows you to select the hologram and tells you where it is located.
/wam holo toggle {gameName} toggles the visibility for all the hologram holoIDs.
/wam holo remove {gameName} {holoID} lets you delete the hologram.
/wam holo teleport {gameName} {holoID} lets you teleport the hologram to your current location.

Streak hologram

image
By using the command /wam settings positions {gamename} streak, you can insert a streak hologram. counting up when a player begins having a streak of mole hits

This hologram will count up as long as the player is having a hit streak, other players will be able to see this hologram as well. If you wish to change the place of the hologram simply redo the command /wam settings positions {gameName} streak and the hologram will move to the location where you are standing.
(NOTE:A streak hologram cannot be deleted. meaning that when you've created one with the command, you won't be able to remove the hologram)

Teleport location

By default, when a player is playing a game, other players won't be able to walk on top of the grid. The way this is done is that when a second player tries to walk on top of an ongoing game, he will be pushed back in the direction the player came from.

Now sometimes this can result in a player being frozen (e.g. when a player falls on top of a game without horizontal motion). Therefore we added a command that lets you set the location where players that try to walk on top of a game will be teleported too. /wam settings positions {gamename} teleport. Execute this command at the place you want players to be teleported to. Then whenever a player tries to walk on top of an ongoing game, that player will be teleported to the set location.

Reset Tickets

image
Don't you just hate it when you end a game and you want to play again you have to wait for the cooldown to end? Well no more! when entering the command /wam buy twice, you buy a reset ticket.

Stand on top of the game field you wish to play and right-click the ticket. The ticket will remove your cooldown so you can play again! The reason you have to enter /wam buy twice is to confirm that you want to spend money to get the reset ticket, and after entering the command one time you will receive a message telling you the price and asking to confirm the purchase.

The price of a ticket can be changed in the Config

These are currently all the extras in the game. Feel free to explore all the capabilities of a game, you can d more then you might think.
