V2 Editing a game - CraZyRc/WhackaMole GitHub Wiki
after creating a game, you can edit all of the settings offered by the game. also you'll be able to add some extras like a custom teleport location or a streak hologram. First, we'll take a look into the settings and what everything means
Settings
There are two general ways to see and edit the settings.
If you have enabled the setting Game config: true in the Config file, game files will be created in the Games folder.
In these files, you can see all the settings of a game and can easily edit multiple settings in one go.
After editing a file, save it and do /wam reload to load the changes you've made.
The second option is in-game and works with and without the Game config: true.
If you use the command /wam settings {gamename} and replace gamename for the game you wish to edit. you will see a message with all the current settings
for example:
You can then select a setting by adding it to the command to change it (e.g. /wam settings whackaGame direction SOUTH)
settings explanation
Every setting has its meaning. It is important to know what a setting stands for before editing it.
direction: means the direction the moles will be facing when spawning (can be any direction from NORTH to NORTH_WEST)jackpot: whether jackpot moles can spawn (TRUE or FALSE)jackpot-spawnchance: the chance for a jackpot mole to spawn when spawning a mole (from 0 till 100)max-missed: the maximum number of moles the player can miss before game-over (can be any number)score-points: the value of points gained by hitting a mole (jackpots will be this *3, so 1 will result in 3 and 2 will be 6)spawnrate: how often in seconds a mole will try to spawn (1 means every second a mole will try and spawn, 4 means that every second, 4 moles will try and spawn, which means every 5 ticks).spawnchance: the chance for a mole succeeding to spawn per spawn rate. Let's say the spawn rate is 2, which means that every 10 ticks a mole will try and spawn. If the spawnrate is 100% then every 10 ticks a mole will spawn for sure. if the spawnrate is 50% that means that every 10 ticks has a 50% chance of a mole spawning.molespeed: the speed a mole will appear and disappear in seconds. if the molespeed is 4, the mole will take 4 seconds before despawning. if the molespeed is 1, the mole will despawn in 1 second and thus move more quickly.difficulty-scale: the percentage of difficulty increasing perdifficulty-increase. let's say thedifficulty-increaseis 1, meaning for every mole hit the difficulty will increase. thedifficulty-scaledecides by how much the game will become more difficult (in percentage). if the difficulty-scale is 10%, the mole speed will become 10% quicker. will spawn 10% quicker and has a 10% more chance to spawn.difficulty-increase: per how many mole-hits the difficulty should increase (e.g. when this is 1 and the scale is 10%, every mole hit the game will become 10% harder. If the increase is 2, then every two mole hits the game will become 10% harder).moleskin: the skin for the mole, this is presented in the URL-link value from the minecraft-heads website*.jackpotskin: the skin for the jackpot mole, this is presented in the URL-link value from the minecraft-heads website*.cooldown: the cooldown the player will have after playing a game before being able to play the game again. (written in strings, so `"HH:mm:ss").music: the sound the player will hear when starting a game (Minecraft music only, add your music with resource packs).toggle=scoreboard: whether or not you want the top score hologram to be displayed, by default true.
*= when on the website and you have found the head skin you want to use, use the value "Minecraft URL":
.
when using it in the command you'll have to write this in strings (so: /wam settings whackaGame moleskin 572c1040fd40e4e83a5be50edcb1cd037c9c66b9d0c9171e7080a02d3f4cfbf)
