#About

A printed circuit board, commonly known as a PCB, is a thin board in which microchips and other electronic components are placed.

PCBs have multiple layers that are laminated together using adhesives, heat and pressure.

  • Core: substrate; usually fiberglass (FR4)
  • Copper Layer
  • Soldermask: Green layer on most PCBS
  • Silkscreen: White outline, words, or symbols on soldermask
