Time management of Maintenance Iteration Meetings (if required)

  • After the first meeting to groom the backlog, if the number of candidates and the anticipated complexity of them indicates timeboxing discussions is required, these time management practices will be put in place:
    • 5 minute delay will be removed. Meetings will commence at 2:00PM AEST.
    • Each discussion will be timed, if the discussion is not concluded within the allotted time, the discussion will be taken offline.
      • Allotted time will be determined based on the number of candidates in the iteration.
      • If the discussion on all issues has concluded and time remains, any issues scheduled for offline discussion can be revisited.
    • Start times will be estimated for each Domain and advertised when the Agenda is published.

Introductions

The purpose of this last meeting in MI 23 is to finalise proposed solutions for MI23 Candidates. Once consensus from participants is reached in today's call the changes will be staged and published for a further 28 days of consultation in an Explanatory Document and Consultation Draft.

Release Plan

  • We're still on version 1.34.1, published on 11 April 2025.
  • Feedback on the Explanatory Document and Consultation Draft - #364, changes arising from MI 22, will close on 3 July, Tuesday next week. The changes will then be published in version 1.35.0 as soon as possible.
  • Changes arising from this MI will be published in version 1.36.0 or later.

NOTE: As the Iteration progresses, to allow standards maintenance consultation to focus on the detail of unresolved issues, it is assumed that proposed solutions can be taken forward in a Decision Document for the Chair unless there are opposing views raised before the final call of the iteration. The DSB encourages participants to post their views on issues as early as possible.

Next Steps

Formal consultation on changes

  • The DSB will prepare a Consultation Draft and Explanatory Statement for candidates where the proposed solution has been agreed on.
  • Once approved by the Chair they will be published for a further 28 days of formal consultation.

Maintenance Iteration 24

  • MI24 will commence on 9 July. The DSB has a number of candidates to propose for the community's consideration, and as usual we welcome contributions from participants. The Consultation Draft issue will be created on the standards repository in the next few days where you can post your suggestions.

Any other business

Participants are invited to raise topics related to the Data Standards that would benefit from the groups' consideration.
