- The MI16 Decision Proposal has been sent to the Chair for approval, it will result in v1.27.0 of the Standards when published.
Maintenance Iteration 17 Candidates
The issues listed below have been proposed as candidates for this iteration. The DSB encourages participants to review these and post comments for consideration in developing solution proposals.

Banking:
- #593 - Interest paid at maturity guidance for applicationFrequency in BankingProductDepositRate
- Carried over from MI16
- Discussion on the affect this issue will have other on Decision Proposals, such as the outcome on #306 Updates to Banking Product and Account Detail, #317 ‘Buy Now, Pay Later’ Product and Account Detail and the future holistic review of Non Bank Lending consultations, and vice versa.
- Without formalising the standards resulting from this change implementers have difficulty analysing the impact.
- DSB is proposing to create a version of affected endpoints without an obligation date that will be bundled together when the results of 306 are finalised.
- Further discussion resulted in all anticipated changes to be published as candidate standards to enable implementers to analyse the affect in anticipation of further consultation to refine if needed. ⚡
Energy:
- #587 - EnergyBillingDemandTransactionV2 - Measure Unit
- Requires further offline discussion. ⚡
- DSB is proposing to treat the introduction of a new field as a breaking change requiring a new version of the end point that wont have an obligation date assigned. ⚡
- To provide greatest flexibility and avoid extra build for the November obligation date, implementers building to the new version are not required to build the old version.
- DHs who are not affected by this change do not need to implement the new version until a deprecation date is set for the old version.
- #613 - Time format change request for Energy Plan Data
- Lengthy discussion on interpretation of time values and concern around proposal to introduce a new time standard.
- Section 4.4 Unqualified Local Time in RFC3339 describes the limitations encountered in this issue and the reason it's not possible to be standards compliant.

- Carried over from MI16
- With in a couple of weeks it will be know whether the vendor can produce specific errors, if yes the issue will be withdrawn.

Other business
- #610 - Addition of an (18 or over) Age Verification Flag
- A discussion on this issue was requested however it is not considered to be a candidate of MI17 at this stage.
- Merits of use cases for this value, legal implications and non repudiation of age verification were discussed.
- DSB will consult with Treasury to determine whether introducing a value, if appropriate, would align with the Rules. ⚡
