Presentations
Questions Raised during Q&A Time
- Will it be a section for ""Electricity APIs"" or ""Energy APIs"" in standards?"
- Would you be sharing the slides after the session ?
- Are there time lines in place for the expected adoption into the energy sector?
- If a customer wants to make a complaint, would they need to make that complaint directly to the OAIC? Or is there an intermediary?"
- How are CDR obligations audited within an energy retailer?
- Does Standards Australia has role to play in setting the data standards?
- Would it be possible to consult on the Rules in energy in July? Retailers have significant regulatory reform programs to deliver by 1 July so resourcing is impacted
- What is the process for someone to become an Accredited Data Recipient?
- We noticed two accredited data recipient (ADR) at this stage, is ACCC doing anything to increase the numbers of ADR?"
- From consumers end (demand side), is there any plan to increase the awareness in the market?"
- What will the process be for changing existing or introducing new CDR rules (once they are in place)? Is this run by the ACCC?
- Are there costs to become an ADR and if so, what are they?"
- In practice, how stringent/onerous is the ""data-holder accreditation"" process?"
- What is the ACCC doing to reduce barriers to entry into the CDR regime for Accredited Data Recipients
- On average, how long does a ""typical"" data-holder accreditation process take? What is the average duration?"
- Are you able to share the ACCC's latest position/stance in relation to ""intermediaries""?"
- Could the Data Standards Body release a more detailed change log when there are updates to the Data Standards. It was a lengthy process to find all of the changes made to the Standards from V1.2 to V1.3 - this could be made easier if a tracked changes type version of the update was released.
- We know about Banks & Energy been designated. Is there any ideas about who will be next, for example Telco has been mentioned in passing. So industries like insurance, super, investment, broker - or is there a couple years of work before the next raft of sectors?"
- If any of the standards change, how will they be disseminated to Data Holders/Recipients so they can evaluate, test and update their systems?"
- Is there a privacy impact assessment available for the CDR?
- Admin APIs requirements - It doesn't define which will be required for non T1 data holders for the product reference data release
- Will there be guidance on consent flows when considering joint consent?
- To James: Recently ACCC published reporting requirement for banks. Also, there is a get metrics admin API resource to get data for ACCC. Why there are 2 ways? I can understand things like complaints that might not be exposable via API. But thinks like total API calls and no of rejections can get from APIs I think. Any specific reason for that?
- Once a Consumer gives consent to an ADR to receive their data from a Data Holder, how long does this "consent" last, is it ongoing and how is it refreshed?
- Q. Does ADR turn into a D-Holder by the virtue of receiving customer data?
- Q. Are there information security policies in place on how the ADR handles the data received?
- Are you considering rules around ADR's retaining and storing data that is shared? There are Legal and Compliance obligations associated with retention, etc.
- How do data aggregation providers such as Yodlee, Proviso, etc fit into the CDR regime? Would they be a lower barrier to entry for a start-up to enter the CDR through?
- Is there a Data Holder accreditation process?
- How do we know if a data recipient is accredited and its good to share data with them. Will a list of accredited data recipients be published. Thanks.
- What is the difference between an Accredited and Intermediary DR?
- Could more information be provided in regard to navigating the GitHub?
- Will energy retailers need to build to the CDR data standards or no, because of the Gateway? Can the ACCC Rules require AEMO to put the data standards onto retailers?
- It would be useful for Tier 2's if a specific list of deliverables for PRD could be provided. e.g. Get Product Get Product Detail Get Metrics etc
- When are the minutes for the ACCC/DSB Data Holder Working group published? We are waiting on documented responses from questions raised but I can't seem to find any recent minutes.
