Metrics calculation during outage Could you please clarify the statement below that is referenced on the CDR metrics and reporting by Data Holders CDS Guide? "No requests received during a planned or unplanned outage are expected to be included in any Get Metrics reporting, but the duration of unplanned outages must be considered in Availability reporting." Do data holders need to exclude all requests received during both planned and unplanned outages from the calculation of performance metrics, invocations, average response time, session count, average TPS, peak TPS, errors, and rejections? |
The statement indicates that requests received during an outage are not expected to be reported, because it could be assumed that your systems are unavailable or unstable and not able to accurately receive and record them. It does not state that all requests MUST be excluded, but you may wish to consider whether any metrics that continue to be captured and reported during an outage are providing reliable and valid metrics information. If the reporting of any metrics collected in an outage period is found to significantly skew insight or NFR compliance, the guidance or standards in relation to this may be reviewed. |
Attendees are invited to raise topics related to the Consumer Data Right that would benefit from the DSB and ACCCs' consideration.
