Answer provided

Ticket # Question Answer
2485 Are there are any further details around demand charge standards, particularly regarding the definition of units and time periods?
In particular if there are any more detailed definitions for fields like "chargePeriod" and "measurementPeriod" that can be found in the relevant schemas.
Are there information distinguishing between instances of cents vs. dollars in general?
1. "chargePeriod" and "measruementPeriod" are both ENUMs, i.e. Enumerated values. That means they can only have a value from a set list. The list of values they can have is defined in the schema and can also be viewed on the standards page.

2. The "cents" vs "dollar" was a known issue which should have been fixed in recent release of the APIs by Australian Energy Regulator (who are the data holder and host of the energy public CDR APIs). They should all be in $$.cc format (i.e. dollar and cents). If you notice any discrepancies that it is a data quality issue which would need to be fixed by AER.

For questions about how the data is to be interpreted or understood, the best point of contact would be the Australian Energy Regulator who are the data holder (and provider) for these API. Their CDR page also has their contact information
