Introduction

Welcome to the Data Standards Body (DSB) standards-Experimental wiki for the Simple Account Origination Experiment.

The goals of the Account Origination Experiment is:

• To find, through practical means, the best way to develop bank account opening via APIs in the context of the CDR. Note that account opening in this context only involves the process of applying for a new account and therefore does not include the closing of an existing account or the transfer of money to the new account.
• Identify any specific barriers to implement an approach that is optimal both for consumers and participants. Depending on the barriers encountered this insight can be used to inform the future development of the CDR.
• Identify the potential for additive value from implementing an API based account opening solution in the context of the CDR.

Meetings

Weekly status meeting have been established to maintain momentum. They are held on a Thursday from 14:00 to 15:00 AEDT and are held via Microsoft Teams. Agendas, Action Items & Minutes from each meeting will be publicly available and can be accessed by the relevant meeting link.
