If you experience any issues with your battery, such as:

• It no longer charges,
• It depletes quickly,
• Or other irregularities,

You can replace it by following the steps outlined below.

Battery capacity varies depending on the hardware revision of your PandwaRF. The table below shows the default battery capacity for each revision:

• You may use a higher-capacity battery, but it will take longer to charge, as PandwaRF hardware is designed to charge at a rate of Capacity/2.
• Avoid using a lower-capacity battery, as it may be damaged due to excessive charging current.
• We do not sell replacement batteries, but you can easily find them online for approximately 3–4 €.

For these hardware revisions, the battery wires are directly soldered to the PCB on two pads labeled BATT+ and BATT-.

Follow these steps to replace the battery:

1. Carefully desolder the wires of your old battery.
2. Solder the wires of the new battery:
   • Connect the positive wire to BATT+.
   • Connect the negative wire to BATT-.
3. Verify that your PandwaRF powers on successfully.
4. Update the battery capacity:
   • Connect your PandwaRF to the Android app.
   • Open the "Developer" page (ensure Developer Mode is enabled in the app settings) and select "Bus Service Ext."
   • Under "BUS Service," choose "BUS config."
   • Select SET_BATTERY_CAPACITY and enter the capacity of your new battery in mAh.
   • Click "Send."
5. Calibrate your battery. Refer to the "How to Calibrate Your Battery" section for detailed instructions.

For these hardware revisions, the battery is connected via a 'Molex Pico EZmate' connector.

Follow these steps to replace the battery:

1. Unplug your old battery.
2. Plug in your new battery.
3. Verify that your PandwaRF powers on successfully.
4. Update the battery capacity:
   • Connect your PandwaRF to the Android app.
   • Open the "Developer" page (ensure Developer Mode is enabled in the app settings) and select "Bus Service Ext."
   • Under "BUS Service," choose "BUS config."
   • Select SET_BATTERY_CAPACITY and enter the capacity of your new battery in mAh.
   • Click "Send."
5. Calibrate your battery. Refer to the "How to Calibrate Your Battery" section for detailed instructions.

Follow these steps to calibrate your battery level:

1. Turn on your PandwaRF.
2. Connect the USB cable to begin charging.
3. Keep your PandwaRF powered ON and charging until the orange LED stops blinking and remains steadily lit.

If you return later and find that your PandwaRF has turned OFF, this is likely due to the auto-OFF mode you configured. In this case, simply press any button to turn it back ON and check if the orange LED is steadily lit.

4. Once the orange LED stops flashing and remains solidly ON, the calibration is complete. You can now unplug the USB cable.
