Below is some discussion about future tutorial topics
Tutorials that we try to provide at one point:
- How to check for card/set updates. What it means when there aren't any
- How to use customsets
- How to play and host a draft using Cockatrice and draft.info
- A new-user intro guide to the game play screen - including shortcuts, common etiquette, and the phase bar
- How to register an account on a server
- We should probably have a first-run dialog pop up automatically. --Daenyth
- We ask for a database update already on first-run. Instead a bunch of first-run dialogs regarding different issues. I would prefer something like a First-Run or Getting Started tab for new users. It should have links and explantions to different topics like updates, registering, shortcuts, servers etc. new users can follow step by step. --tooomm
- Deck editor tutorial (probably after register before joining) should start with copying (and providing a test list) moving on to actually using the editor
- Especially filters, they're really powerful and people don't know how to use them. --Daenyth
- Also different types of deck importing and external deck analysis --tooomm
While the programs differ slightly between OS's (Mac, Windows, Linux), the general way to do things is similar.
