Project Boomerang — GitHub Rules

  1. Do NOT work directly on main.
  • Everyone creates their own branch.
  • Example: caleb-movement, jonah-boomerang, jennifer-audio.
  1. Only Team lead merges into main.
  • Team members push their branches and make a pull request.
  • reviews/merges it.

  1. Pull from main before starting work.

  2. Update your branch if needed

  3. Commit frequently.

  4. Avoid working on the same scene at the same time.

  • Unity scene conflicts can be a pain to merge.
  • Make a teams chat and announce your working in a scene.
  • Make sure content of scene does not overlap if working simultaneously on same scene.
  1. Before merging, make sure your branch actually works.
  • Don't merge broken code into main.
