Creating a Topic

Go to Notification option on OCI, create topic.

Topic Created

Now go inside the topic created.

Create Subscription

Subscription is create but we have to verify the mail id where we want the alert to come.

After confirming, we will see the state as active.

After this , we have to create the announcements.

Create Announcement

We have to go to that bell icon  Create an announcement subscription.

Enter the details and select the topic which we created.

Announcement created.

Create Rule

Go to Observability & Management  Inside events service, select rules and create rule.

Now enter the details and create rule, mainly we create this rule for networking alerts.

Alert Validation

Now the notification service is created, we have to validate that it is working fine or not.

So we will create a new local peering gateway and check if we receive any alerts.

Local Peering Gateway created.

We have received the alert in the mail.
