pfSense DHCP
Summary:
This Tech Journal entry will cover configuring DHCP using a pfSense router as the host.
Configuration:
Log into the pfSense web GUI. The default username and password will be admin and pfsense respectively.
Once you are logged in navigate to Services, DHCP Server. This is where you will configure the DHCP server. Select the option to Enable DHCP server on LAN interface. Configure the range with your start and end addresses. Then configure the DNS servers, gateway, domain name, maximum lease time, and default lease time. See configuration below.
Make sure to hit the save button at the bottom of the page or the changes will not take effect.
