5. Using external applications - ChrisDKN/Amethyst-Mod-Manager GitHub Wiki

Using external applications

This section will be rewritten as the process is much different to when it was first written. In short, The wizard menu handles everything

Using the wizard menu

The wizard menu contains a list setup scripts that aim to automate the setup process of each application, Each will generally do the following.

  • Download the application from a source location or provide a link to download
  • For any that provide a link, you just need to manually download the file. The wizard will detect it from the downloads folder and extract it
  • Applications are extracted and stored in the applications folder of the games staging folder
  • Setup a prefix for the application with the choice of using a shared or dedicated prefix.
  • Install any windows dependencies the application requires as well as make tweaks within the prefix to make the application work
  • Deploy the modlist if the application requires it
  • Run the application using the prefix

Pandora + BodySlide and Outfit Studio

  • Install Pandora behaviour engine /BodySlide and Outfit Studio as a mod
  • This will make the wizard tool show up in the wizard menu
  • Use the wizard tool, Remove any previous pandora output if you need to
  • Bodyslide and outfit studio will prompt for an output mod name, If you want to keep each run separate

PgPatcher

  • Run the PgPatcher (Remove any previous pgpatcher output if rerunning)
  • There is an option to use mo2 mode, This is not needed if the load order in the modlist is already correct. It's mainly there as an option for people who are more familiar with it
  • When PgPatcher finishes, the wizard will close and the modlist will refresh, Enable the PgPatcher_output mod to use it
