2.1 Updating a Mod - ChrisDKN/Amethyst-Mod-Manager GitHub Wiki

Updating a Mod

Pressing the check updates button at the bottom of the modlist panel will fetch some infomation on all installed mods, This will flag any mod that has an update in the flags column

If you need to check updates for just one mod or a few selected you can right click a mod or a selection of mods and select check updates

To update a mod, Simply click the update flag in the flags column or via the change version right click option.

this will open an interface that shows all of the versions. The current version you are using will be highlighted green.

If you are a nexus premium member, you can install the new version directly into the modlist. If you are a free user you can press view to open the nexus page

False positives

Some mods may be flagged as update available but you may notice that this is not true, The manager does a lot of checks to tell if a update is actually available but because of some limitations with the Nexus API sometimes mods will be incorrectly flagged

The main reason you may see some of these is if a mod author has included multiple mods in the Main section of their page, If they update one of those main files then the rest will all be flagged as update available

To counter this, you can check "ignore updates" in the change version menu. The mod will then only receive the flag again when it is next updated
