A knowledge base is a repository or storage of information about a business's products and services. You can enable knowledge base by going to Service Setup > Check the box of Enable Lightning Knowledge

You can have only 3 active data categories in Knowledge Base Data Category Setup.

While creating a new KB you can set the visibility of the KB, such as:

  • Visible In Internal App
  • Visible to Customer
  • Visible to Partner
  • Visible In Public Knowledge Base
