Alternia Shard is a rare crafting material.

A crystal shard full of pure alternia energy. ...Somehow it feels important.
These shards are overflowing with energy. A too high concentration of these can even lead to environments with overcharged air, with hevika being the most prominent example, as well as the entirety of esetera depths and esetera caves.
