Editing Time Settings Within Ubuntu and Rocky Linux

  • The formate for time settings can be accessed and edited within the file /etc/rsyslog.conf. ActionFileDefaultTemplate is the line that dictates what formate is being used. In this lab I removed the use of these default templates which resulted in the new format of year-month-day-time to be used and recorded for logging within the system.
