Nasard - CSOS-Team/SoundOfSteam GitHub Wiki

The Nasard is a pipe that plays at a 2 2/3 pitch. It’s a mutation stop, which means it’s designed to be played at the same time as an 8’ to add extra brightness to the sound by highlighting an upper harmonic.

Usage

In order to effectively use the Nasard as a mutation stop, it needs to be combined with an 8’ (most effective with the Gedeckt. It should play a 12th above the 8’ pitch.

For example, if the 8’ pipe is playing a C4, the Nasard should be playing a G5.

You can also use it to enrich the sound of a chorus by combining an 8’, 4’, 2’, and the 2 2/3 to make it even brighter!
