Based on information by Michael Wellings from University of Washington and ResearchChannel, there is an overview of processing latencies of different HD cards:

• Optibase VIdeopump - 8 frames delay on board
• AJA XENA HD* about 8 frames delay on board
• Declink HD - only 1/2 frame of memory

Based on measurements by DVS itself, the DVS Centaurus card (depending on mode to some extent) has about 6us on average. They also claim to be the lowest latency card on the market.
